NOTE: Mention of the minimum required number of registered players assigned to a team prior to nomination (11) is relevant for senior teams.
A similar requirement will also be applied to Junior Competitive teams and possibly Miniroos, with the minimum number of registered players to be confirmed soon by the competitions team.

CUFC Players in the Whitsunday Coast FQ Academy
The Whitsunday Coast FQ Academy Trials start tomorrow (Monday 7th September) for players who will be Under 9 to Under 16 in the 2027 season.

CUFC love to see our players further developing their skills by participating in the FQ Whitsunday Coast Academy teams, and we encourage and support anyone wanting to be a part of this.
FQ Whitsunday Coast Academy teams have one of their training sessions on a Wednesday (which coincides with the only day CUFC train as a club). Since FQ's position is that the academy players still have to train and play with their club, we ask our CUFC players to consult with their FQ and CUFC coaches to choose one of the following options:
Where CUFC training and FQ Whitsunday Coast Academy Training occur on the same day (and are scheduled at the same time or overlap)
Option 1:
Player to attend 1 CUFC training per fortnight (will result in attending 50% of CUFC training sessions)
This would result in the player missing 1 FQ training per fortnight (will result in attending 75% of FQ training sessions)
Where CUFC training and FQ Whitsunday Coast Academy Training occur on the same day (and are scheduled at different times or don't overlap)
Option 1:
Player to attend 1 CUFC training per fortnight (will result in attending 50% of CUFC training sessions)
This would result in the player missing 1 FQ training per fortnight (will result in attending 75% of FQ training sessions)
Option 2:
Player to attend at least the first part of CUFC training, then leave in order to travel to Mackay to attend some/all of the FQ Whitsunday Coast Academy Training
