Early Set Up (Saturday 30/05)

Teams will be able to attend Tiger Park between 10am and 1pm, Saturday 30/05 to set up gazebo’s/marquees etc for Sunday morning. Please note this is a set timeframe and will not be extended. Please make sure you have sufficient tie downs for anything set up during this time. You are able to gain access to the grounds via the right hand carpark of West Leagues Club following carnival signage towards Field 4 or by parking in the carpark near the entry to Tiger Park.

Please be mindful that our club volunteers will be busy marking & setting out the fields in preparation for Sunday and to not drive on any fielded areas.

Team Pack Collection

Teams will be able to collect team packs including ribbons from the Coaches & Managers meeting or from the Scoring/First Aid room during the carnival day. As the draw and all information is being shared prior this year, we will not be providing early pick up of packs.

On the Day Information & Managers Meeting

Before first games kick off all Coaches & Managers will be expected to attend a briefing outside the Tiger Park canteen at 8am to discuss the running of the day and receive any urgent updates.

We will have a number of vendors available on the day including coffee, ice cream, face painting ($2 per child) & both a food and drinks canteen. Both Cash and Eftpos will be available for your convenience. We will also have a raffle that volunteers will be selling tickets throughout the day to be drawn at approx. 12:30pm.

Injuries

When an injury occurs in a game the referee/leader should react quickly to check that the player is not seriously hurt. Please note this cannot happen without stopping the game in some circumstances, but if there is any possibility of danger to any player, the referee/leader must stop the game. The referee/leader may instruct the coach/manager to approach the injured player and the coach/manager may then also request the presence of the players’ parent/guardian.

At no time is it advised to pick up a player from the field, if that player cannot stand up without assistance, the only person who should be allowed to carry a player off of the field is parent, guardian or a paramedic.

If time is lost due to injury, no extra time can be played due to the tight scheduling of the games. Please be patient when there is a stoppage as the player’s safety must be the first concern.

The coach/manager must complete an Incident Report Form for all injuries that occur during a game. These are available from the Scorers/First Aid room. All injured players/parents/guardians are advised to seek further information from the Football Queensland website if there is the possibility of a future Insurance Claim – as soon as possible after the incident. A delay in pursuing this information may deem any application invalid.

In the event of general first aid please go to the scorers/first aid room located near the drink’s canteen for a first aid officer. If an ambulance is required, please notify the personnel in the Scorers Room. Ice can be obtained from the Canteen.
